DIESEL enthusiasts made tracks for Keighley's heritage railway at the weekend.
Steam services on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (K&WVR) made way for the line's fleet of diesel locos.
And several visiting units appeared on the five-mile line.
Among them was a trio of locomotives operating for the first time on the K&WVR – the 25067, normally based on the Battlefield line in Leicestershire; 33035, owned by the Pioneer Diesel Loco Group and usually seen on the Ecclesbour Valley line in Derbyshire, and the Class 31 D5830, visiting from the Great Central Railway.
"It was the first time these three locos had operated away from their home bases so it was a rare opportunity for many people to see them," said Jim Shipley, for the K&WVR.
"The weekend saw all services run by our own and visiting diesel locomotives dating from the 1950s and 1960s. It went well – it was busy."
