SEA AND Royal Marine cadets from Keighley shot to third place in a national competition.
The cadets took part in the annual inter-services cadet rifle meeting at Bisley in Surrey.
The eight young people competed against army, air, sea and Royal Marine cadets, as well as members of the Canadian and South African armed forces.
Keighley cadets secretary Corinne Metcalfe said: “We are proud to report that our cadets came a very respectable third out of 16 in the competition.
“Four of our cadets won the Somerset medal for being in the top eight highest scorers, and also Sgt Rosie Clarke was awarded the Tyro Award for best coach.”
The medal winners were Lance Corporal Tom Addyman, MC2 Joe Judson, Sgt MC Kevin Da Silva and MC Natasha Zera.
