GRAPPLE fans are in for a treat this Saturday at Victoria Hall.

That’s the promise from New Generation Wrestling as its showcase event returns to Keighley.

The Anarchy tournament was first presented in Keighley last year as New Generation Wrestling (NGW) expanded from its home base of Hull.

Promoter Rich Dunn said that this time Anarchy would feature a host of top superstars from across the UK and beyond.

This would include former TNA wrestling superstar Mark Haskins, current NGW champion ‘The Mexican Sensation’ El Ligero, tag team champion Stixx and Bradford wrestler Liam Lazarus.

The show will include a mixture of singles and tag matches, and is billed as suitable for the whole family.

Mr Dunn said: “After the success of our to sell-out shows in 2013 we’re back by popular demand.

“We’re bringing some of wrestling’s top international attractions to Keighley once again.

Audiences can expect to see the same high-flying, hard hitting action and colourful characters that have made NGW shows so popular.”

Mr Dunn said that NGW was now promoting monthly events to packed out crowds across the region and beyond, and featuring regularly on Challenge TV’s British Wrestling Round-Up.

“We’re committed to showcasing the biggest names in wrestling today, including former WWE, World of Sport and TNA wrestlers, alongside the UK’s best up and coming grapplers.”

NGW started life in Hull in 2008 and has now grown into a leading UK wrestling promotion, running monthly shows across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The last NGW tournament in Keighley was the debut for the team of Liam Lazarus, alias Liam Slater from Wyke.

At 5ft 10in the rookie was not the biggest grappler at the event, but he had a trademark finisher, the fast and devastating Lazarus Slice, to help him beat the big boys.

Lifelong wrestling fan Liam was called up after impressing the NGW management in a series of stand-out bouts for smaller promotions.

Anarchy starts at 7pm and prices start at £10.Visit ngwuk.com or call 07927 045303 to book tickets.
