KEIGHLEY girl Chloe Hewitt is embarking on fundraising to support people fighting cancer.

Chloe, 10, raised £700 for Cancer Research UK two years ago by running in the Race for Life in memory of her grandmother Sue Hewitt.

She now plans to take part in this year’s Starlight Hike in aid of the Manorlands hospice.

She has also organised a “Blue” day today at Long Lee Primary School, in which everyone will wear something blue and donate money to Manorlands.

Chloe’s mother Lea Hewitt said: “She chose the colour blue as it is the colour of the Sue Ryder Manorlands logo. She is hoping to raise £200.”

Chloe has taken part in the Race for Life at least three times, on one occasion beating her £100 target more than six times over. She also took part in her family’s Manorlands fun day in Oakworth in 2012.

Chloe’s grandmother Sue Hewitt died in April 2012 following a four-year battle against cancer.
