KEIGHLEY pensioners will go back to the Sixties during a special event on September 30.

They will be invited to recall the days of the Beatles, hippies, VW camper vans, peace campaigning and the Summer of Love.

The Swinging 60s celebration at Victoria Hall is being held to mark International Older People’s Day.

The gathering will feature line dancing, singing, live music, a raffle and a chance for people to reminisce.

There will be a prize for the ‘hippest’ looking person who attends the event between between10am and 2.30pm.

Swinging 60s will begin with refreshments and a performance by Keighley’s Shared Harmonies singing group.

There will be line dancing at 11am , followed by ‘Memories of the 60s’ at 11.30am, lunch and stalls at 12.30pm, and live music at .30pm.
