A NURSERY that was last month told it was "inadequate" because of poor safeguarding procedures has taken "prompt and effective action" to improve.
Wilsden Village Nursery was told by schools governing body Ofsted that children were "not always dependably safeguarded" and the school was slow to respond to child safety concerns.
The school, based at the village hall, was given notice to improve.
Late last month inspectors returned to the nursery, and found that work had been done to fix the issues raised in the report.
Their latest update said: "The inspector found you have developed an action plan to address the issue raised at your last inspection, and welcomed the support of a representative from the local authority. This has enabled you to effectively address the required improvement."
Measures taken by the nursery include staff training, focusing on safeguarding, updated policies and raising the issue of child safety at staff meetings.
