Well done to council for blocking Haworth Tesco bid
MY THOUGHTS are well done to the council for stopping it becoming another shop with no point as there are local shops and a Spar next door, so it was futile for Tesco to think that was the best place for a shop – Store bid turned down by council (Keighley News, October 16).
I think the pub should stay a pub, and maybe Timothy Taylor’s brewery and K&WVR could take it over and call it The Station pub themed on the railway. Make it for the rail travellers and real ale drinkers.
Tesco needs to look at the top of Haworth for a shop as not much for locals, only tourists.
