RELATIVES of Bradley men who lost their lives during the First World War are being invited to take part in the village’s Remembrance Sunday service on November 9.

It will be led by the Rev John Lancaster, who hopes relatives of the 14 men who died will share in the Act of Remembrance by placing a cross on the war memorial.

The ceremony – which will include a service in Bradley Village Hall – is part of the commemorations to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War.

Ninety men from Bradley went to fight and 14 failed to return. Of those who died, some have known graves whilst others are remembered on the memorials at Arras and Thiepval.

Mr Lancaster can be contacted on 01535 634264.
