A WOMAN has been charged with wasting police time in connection with an allegation of a serious sexual assault in Keighley's Victoria Park.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police today confirmed that the woman is due to appear in Bradford Magistrate's Court on Tuesday November 11.
The reported sexual assault on a 20-year-old woman was originally supposed to have taken place in Victoria Park at about 10pm on October 16.
The following morning, a police forensics tent was in place near the basketball courts, close to the boundary wall with Bradford Road.
Part of the footpath was cordoned off to pedestrians and the scene was guarded by a police community support officer.
