There will be Parish Communion with hymns at St Barnabas Parish Church at 10am on Sunday and a guest service at 6.30pm. There will be Holy Communion celebrated by the Rev Kenneth Beardsley at Long Lee Methodist Chapel at 10.30am.
Keighley Men’s Forum meets today in Keighley Playhouse at 10am when the speaker, Dennis Taylor, will give a talk with sides on Not Just A Flight Of Fancy.
Busy Bees Toddler Group meets in St Barnabas Church hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.15am to 11am. The cost is £2 per family. Contact Helen Salt on 01535 600480 for further information.
Bingo is held on Tuesdays at the Dickie Bird starting at 8pm and on Wednesdays a quiz and Strike It Lucky start at 9pm. There is a free supper at both events. Food is once again on the menu, including fish and chips on Fridays and the popular Sunday lunch. There is a children’s Hallowe’en party tomorrow starting at 5.30pm. Admission is by ticket, available from staff.
The art and craft group at Long Lee and Thwaites Brow Village Hall welcomes people interested in any type of craftwork. Call at the village hall any Tuesday or Friday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm or contact Barbara Klempka on 01535 669914. The group now has four paintings on show in Cliffe Castle Museum. They are part of a project run by Smallworld in Russell Street. The exhibition of 94 items is on until January 11 and is worth a visit.

An autumn fair is being held in St Barnabas Church hall from 10am to 2pm on Saturday. There will also be stalls, a raffle, tombola and light lunches/refreshments.
