A VILLAGE'S infrastructure will be unable to cope with yet more housing, it is claimed.
Concerns have been raised after the submission to Bradford Council of a planning application for up to 31 new homes on land west of Green Lane, Eastburn.
District councillor Andrew Mallinson, whose Craven ward includes the village, said a scheme for 120 houses on a neighbouring site had already been approved.
And around 200 properties are being built at Thornhill Road, in nearby Steeton.
"We are seeing massive housing growth but the infrastructure is not in place to support it," said Coun Mallinson.
"All this additional housing will have a massive impact on highways and the sewage and drainage system in the area."
JO Steel Consulting, agent for the latest application, declined to comment.
