HOT CLUB of Cowtown bring their jazz/western swing to Victoria Hall in Saltaire next month.

The band, from Austin, Texas, will be at the venue on November 14 as part of a UK tour.

The band are named after one of the greatest jazz ensembles of the last century and are renowned for their spirit, originality and skill.

They are touring to promote their latest album Rendezvous In Rhythm which is described as an exuberant collection of Gypsy songs and American Songbook standards.

The songs are played acoustically and have been recorded in the hot jazz style of legendary violin and guitar masters Stephane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt.

The album is Hot Club’s first foray into the Gypsy jazz and French swing of Paris in the 1930s and features sparkling spins on songs like Rhythm, Minor Swing, Dark Eyes, The Continental and I'm In The Mood For Love.

The Times newspaper praised Hot Club for their “down-home melodies and exuberant improvisation”, weaving seemingly disparate styles together to magical effect.
