A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with an alleged attack on an army veteran in Lund Park, Keighley.
George Gill says he was jumped by a gang of youths who stripped him of his beret and poppy as he made his way to a Remembrance Sunday service.
Mr Gill, 69, was walking alone through Lund Park, a short distance from his home, on Sunday morning.
He said that after the attack he realised his medals had disappeared, but a search of the area failed to locate the personal artefacts.
Keighley police this afternoon confirmed they had arrested a 15-year-old boy from Keighley on suspicion of robbery. He is currently in custody.
