IN response to Kris Hopkins and Philip Davies’ attack on Bradford Council – Youth service cuts attacked (Keighley News, November 6).
Kris Hopkins and Philip Davies’ Tory Government has cut £100 million from Bradford’s grant from central government, and the council has inevitably had to cut back its spending and focus on services it legally has to provide.
Youth services is not one of them.
It’s sheer hypocrisy to berate the council for having to make cuts when these have been imposed by the Tories themselves!
Bradford is set to lose another £100 million from its grant during the next three years, so there will have to be more cuts to non-statutory services.
