A VOLUNTEER organisation in Keighley has had to stop its work supporting parents of children whose children have been groomed for sex.
ROSE – which stands for Risk Of Sexual Exploitation – was run by former social worker Caroline Henry with support from experienced volunteers.
Caroline said that despite “hard work and passion” it was impossible to establish ROSE without working on the project full-time, and she already had a full-time job.
She said money remaining in ROSE’s bank account had been donated to the Leeds-based PACE group.
She said: “They do a fantastic job supporting families affected by child sexual exploitation.
“I have requested that the money we donated is given to families from the Keighley area, especially to help with practical things for those seeking justice through the court arena.
“PACE has funding to support 20 families in the Keighley area.”
PACE can be contacted on 0113 2403040.
