Sunday: Service at Keighley New Church, Braithwaite, led by the Rev Geoffrey Clarkson, 10.30am. Tea and coffee will be served afterwards in the church hall, with homemade produce for sale to boost church funds.

Tuesday: Yoga class at Laycock Village Hall, 11am to 12.30pm. Suitable for people of all abilities. Contact Barbara on 01535 665910 for details.

The Braithwaite Village Crafters meet on the first and third Tuesday of every month in Keighley New Church, from10am to noon. There is a charge of £2.50, which covers the cost of refreshments and any tuition. Contact Yvonne on 01535 645410 for details.

Wednesday: Coffee club with book exchange at Laycock Village Hall, from10am to noon on the first Wednesday of each month. Contact Jan on 01535 667508 for further information.

Our police community support officers are holding a contact point for residents of Braithwaite, Guard House and Laycock at the Keith Thompson Centre, on Saturdays from 10am to 11am.

Singing for Pleasure, an informal community singing group, meets at Laycock Village Hall every Friday at 7.30pm. The cost is £1, including a drink and cake.

The next meeting of Laycock Women’s Institute is next Thursday when members will hold their Christmas party.

Bronte Blues Club meets on November 21 when the guest band is the Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridge Band from Texas.

Keighley New Church is holding its annual Christmas fair on Saturday, from 10am to 2pm. There will be many stalls. Homemade lunches will be available alongside the more usual refreshments.
