Parish Communion with hymns takes place at St Barnabas Parish Church at 10am on Sunday. The service at Long Lee Methodist Chapel, at 2.30pm, will be led by the Rev Saidu Kanu.
Long Lee Methodist Chapel Women’s Welcome Hour meets on Tuesday at 2pm, when Ann Drake will give a talk entitled This Little Piggy.
Keighley Men’s Forum winter walkers will be led by Alwyn Pickles on Tuesday, for a walk around Thornton and a visit to a farm. Call 01535 672050.
Long Lee Scouts are holding a race night at the Dickie Bird on November 29, at 6.30pm.

Slimming World meets in Long Lee Methodist Chapel on Tuesdays. There are sessions at 5pm and 7pm.
Busy Bees Toddler Group meets at St Barnabas Church Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9.15am to 11am. The cost is £2 per family. Contact Helen Salt on 01535 600480.
Bingo is held at the Dickie Bird on Tuesdays at 8pm, and on Wednesdays there is a quiz and Strike It Lucky starting at 9pm. There is a free supper at both events.
Long Lee Methodist Chapel is holding an autumn fair on November 29, from 10am to 1pm.
