SOUTH Craven householders who use the district council's garden waste collection service have been warned the scheme is being suspended for the winter.
Weather permitting, there will be a one-off collection in January.
But the regular subscription-based scheme will not resume until March.
Councillor Carl Lis, Craven Council's lead member for Greener Craven, said: "The garden waste scheme continues to be a success and we thank residents for their custom.
"We have listened to feedback and are pleased to be able to offer an additional mid-winter round in January .
"Subscription to the garden waste collection service will be up for renewal next spring. Current subscribers will receive details about the renewal in the new year."
