KEIGHLEY-district groups could receive cash aid towards community safety initiatives.
The latest round of Safer Communities Fund grants, which use money seized from criminals under the Proceeds of Crime Act, has been launched.
Organisations can apply for up to £7,500.
Applications to the scheme, which since its launch nine months ago has distributed over half a million pounds, are considered by an independent board.
West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Mark Burns-Williamson, said: "I launched the Safer Communities Fund to support local groups and charities that deliver upon community safety.
"There's been unprecedented interest, with hundreds of groups from across West Yorkshire applying to receive a share of the £567,000 distributed to date.
"Each application must reflect priorities and outcomes outlined in my Police and Crime Plan to make our communities safer and feel safer."
Visit westyorkshire-pcc.gov.uk for further details.
The closing date for applications is December 5.
