KEIGHLEY people can have a say on the proposal for a new £16 million replacement for Oakbank School.

A public exhibition will be held at the school’s Sixth Form Centre on Tuesday (December 2) from 3.30pm to 7.30pm.

Developers Laing o’Rourke will gather public views before submitting a planning application to Bradford Council.

Oakbank’s new facilities will be constructed at the site of the existing school in Oakworth Road, and will offer more space, with improved ITC and sports provision.

Part of the current building, which caters for 1,600 pupils, is Victorian, but the main structure dates from the early 1960s.
