East Riddlesden Hall celebrated the incredible service and dedication of its volunteers by presenting 30 of them with Long Service Awards.

The awards, which ranged from five to 30 years of service, were presented by general manager Jonathan Brewer.

The volunteers were told how each individual’s support and commitment had helped the property achieve great results throughout the year.

Over 90 volunteers in all roles – from retail assistants, to gardeners, from bee keepers, to room guides – attended the presentation.

Mollie Summersgill, who has been helping at the hall since 1997, said: "We feel so included in everything. It’s like a big family and it's so nice to feel part of the team at East Riddlesden Hall."

Mr Brewer said: "To meet and celebrate the achievements of people who have put in so much voluntary effort to help the team look after the property, is both remarkable and inspiring.

"One of the volunteers, Dorothy Fearnside, who has been involved since 1984, told me that volunteering over the past 30 years at East Riddlesden Hall has been an absolute pleasure.

"I hope this inspires others to volunteer so we can continue to do a great job in looking after this special place and making it available to people."
