CADETS and others who collected for the Keighley Poppy Appeal have been rewarded for their efforts.
British Legion branch bosses staged a presentation evening to thank those who together helped raise over £40,000.
The Cadets' Trophy went to the army unit, which collected the most overall, and medals were awarded to top fundraising pairs of cadets from each force.
Certificates were given to stores, pubs and individual volunteers, and to the Airedale Shopping Centre which provided a shop unit.
The presentations were made by town mayor, Councillor Graham Mitchell.
"Without the support of all these people the work could not be done," said Jackie McGinnis, for the Legion.
A supper was provided by Legion treasurer Yvonne Long and her mother Janet.
