A BRADFORD Council consultation on the placing and maintenance of memorials in rural locations and parks has been highlighted by members of Oxenhope Parish Council.
Members of the council have agreed to formulate their own response to the survey, and to ensure their parishioners were made aware of it.
A spokesman for the parish council explained: "Bradford Council receives quite a number of requests per year for benches, trees and other memorials in memory of loved ones and would like to be clear about what will be permitted and where, plus what the maintenance arrangements will be.
"They would also like to be clear about how they will deal with unauthorised memorials which appear from time to time."
A short, online questionnaire on the subject has been made available for people to fill out, and must be completed by January 23 next year. Visit bradford.gov.uk/consultations to access the consultation.
