CHILDREN at Riddlesden St Mary's Primary School are preparing for a cracker of a Christmas.

A nine-foot tree delivered by Woodbank Nurseries at Harden now has pride of place in the main hall.

And it is adorned with decorations made by the pupils.

"Teachers put the decorations on the tree after school and the children were delighted when they came in on the Monday morning and saw how fantastic it looked," said Julie Hanson,

admin assistant and PA to the senior leadership team at the Grange Road school.

"The children are now busy getting ready for a number of Christmas activities including Nativity performances, choir events, parties and much more.

"We would like to wish all our friends, families and supporters a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year."
