Steeton
A coffee morning at Steeton Methodist Church on Saturday raised £436 for church funds. Thanks are expressed to everyone who gave their support. There will be a family carol service and Nativity, led by the Junior Church and the Rev Alan Raine, at 10.30am on Sunday. And there is a service of Lessons and Carols led by the Rev Rosemary Nash at 6pm. There will be a short service at 10.30am on Christmas Day led by the Rev Raine.
St Stephen’s Ladies Fellowship enjoyed a convivial evening for its December meeting at Holmes House, courtesy of Janet Pickles. Members took a faith supper and Janet provided alcoholic beverages. Please note the group doesn’t meet again until March.
Holy Communion and a Nativity play take place at St Stephen’s Church at 10am on Sunday. There will be a service of Nine Lessons and Carols at 6pm. There is a Christingle Service at 3pm on Christmas Eve, and Midnight Communion at 11.30pm. Holy Communion is held at 10am on Christmas Day.
