PUPILS at a Keighley school have been learning more about computer science as part of a global event.
The Oakbank students took part in the Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week.
The initiative was designed to promote the importance of the subject.
All Key Stage Three pupils at Oakbank were given the opportunity to learn programming skills through using a visual drag and drop program.
"Students learned basic programming concepts and were successful in using blocks of code to create a fully functional program," said Hannah Borkala, marketing and event officer.
"In each of the Key Stage Three groups, two 'expert' coders were nominated and presented with prizes."
The youngsters also had the chance to watch videos featuring interviews with figures such as Microsoft supremo Bill Gates and Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg.
