A MAN was attacked and robbed of his mobile phone in a Keighley town centre street.
The 35-year-old was walking along Devonshire Street when he was approached by a man, who pushed him to the ground.
During the altercation the victim dropped his Motorola phone, which was picked up by the attacker who then ran off.
The victim suffered a slight head injury, which needed hospital treatment.
Police today appealed for anyone with information about the incident, which happened between 9.45pm and 10.15pm on January 5, to come forward.
The assailant is described as Asian and of medium build and is believed to be in his 20s.
He was wearing dark clothing and a hat.
Detective Inspector Richard Partis, of Bradford District CID, said: "This appears to be a totally unprovoked attack.
"I would urge anybody with any information, or who may have seen the suspect in the Devonshire Street area, to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
