A DESPERATE plea for donors has been issued following a fall in blood stocks.
Fewer donations due to the festive holidays and increased demand has led a shortage.
Nadine Eaton, for NHS Blood and Transplant, said: "It is vital we increase our stocks now so that we can continue to meet the needs of patients.
"We urge people to make an appointment today and help ensure patients get the transfusions they need over the coming weeks."
Donor sessions take place today (Jan 15) at Silsden Methodist Church, Kirkgate, from 2.30pm to 4pm and 5pm to 7.30pm, and at Victoria Hall in Keighley tomorrow from 12.45pm to 2.45pm and 3.45pm to 6.30pm.
Visit blood.co.uk or call 0300 1232323 for further details and to make an appointment.
