A KEIGHLEY couple who had four of their border terriers stolen one year ago have issued a renewed appeal for the return of the three dogs who are still missing.
Andrew Jones and Mark Jones had the dogs taken from their kennels in Riddlesden in mid-January 2014.
The couple, who breed dogs, managed to get female dog Cleo back shortly afterwards, after she was spotted wandering in Whetley Lane, Bradford, by a telephone engineer.
However Cleo's offspring, a three-and-a-half year old male called Bolt and a female called Poppy remain missing, along with an unrelated three-year-old male called Romsey.
Mr Jones, 44, said the thieves had deliberately targeted their border terriers, adding that theft of dogs was a major national problem. He said he and his partner had heard nothing about Bolt, Poppy and Romsey's fate since they were re-united with Cleo.
"Stealing four dogs is organised crime, these people knew exactly what they were after, it wasn't opportunistic," he said.
He urged anyone with information to contact the police on 101 or to call 0800 555111 for Crimestoppers.
