ARTWORK by children at Crossflatts Primary School is on display – on demolition-site hoardings!

Pieces by pupils at the school and from other primaries in the Bingley area are being exhibited around the site of the town's old Bradford & Bingley headquarters building, which is being bulldozed.

Project manager Rob Kendon said he was "thrilled" to unveil the artwork.

"There are clearly some very talented young Hockneys and these brilliantly unique images will help to make the hoardings more eye-catching," he added.

Many of the pieces feature images of landmarks such as the five-rise locks and Myrtle Park and the surrounding countryside.

Hilary Craven, headteacher at Crossflatts Primary School, said: "We're delighted to be involved in this community project and I know our children will be very impressed to see their work displayed in such a prominent position in Bingley."
