CROSS Roads residents were this week asked to choose from three designs for improving the village park.

The Friends of Cross Roads Park had drawn up detailed blueprints for changes that would benefit all ages.

The proposals included building a fenced multi-use games area, creating a sensory garden, and moving the skateboard park and playground to more suitable parts of the park.

Residents who attended the Friends meeting on Tuesday(January 27) were also asked to vote on what order they would like to see the improvements carried out.

Friends chairman Tito Arana paid tribute to local man Adrian Baxter who had given his services free of charge to make technical drawings.

Mr Arana said: “We asked residents what they wanted to see in the park. The designs were based on their ideas and our own ideas.”

Mr Arana said the Friends would now be in a position to seek funding for the improvements and negotiate with Bradford Council for permission to make changes.
