Car thieves dumped and torched a Ford Fiesta, blocking a heritage railway line near the smallest station in the country.
Firefighters from Keighley tackled the blaze at Damems crossing, on the Keighley & Worth Valley line, at about 4.30am today.
The car was positioned across the track and well alight when firefighters arrived, said a fire service spokesman.
Although no train services were running, the burned out shell was removed as soon as possible.
Railway spokesman Jim Shipley said: "We might not be running passenger services mid week through the winter, but it is crucial the line remains open.
"There is always movement linked with engineering, civil maintenance and in relation to the tidy-train which runs up and down to keep the line free of rubbish."
