A STEAM loco which featured in a movie 35 years ago is preparing for another star turn.
The 120-tonne British Railways Standard Class 4 locomotive 75078 is making its debut at a gala event this weekend.
The engine, which appeared in Yanks, will head the line up at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (K&WVR) Winter Steam Gala.
Earlier this month, the loco successfully completed its first run in 16 years following an extensive refit.
"It is now to make its gala debut in unlined BR black with the early BR emblem on the tender," said a K&WVR spokesman.
"Following the success of our Autumn Steam Spectacular, this gala will again be a home-fleet affair."
Over half a dozen other engines will be in operation during the event, which runs from tomorrow (Feb 27) until Sunday.
Other attractions will include tours of the Haworth locomotive works, trade displays and photo shoot opportunities.
