A SHOPPING centre boss is putting his weight behind a new Manorlands fundraising venture.

Steve Seymour, manager of Keighley's Airedale Centre, is shedding pounds to coin-in cash for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.

"I'm aiming for a slimmer and fitter figure while raising funds for a fantastic charity," he said.

"In August I am tackling a Tough Mudder challenge, but I know at the moment I wouldn't finish it. Plus my son gets married next year, which is another incentive."

Mr Seymour weighed in at 21st 13lbs at the start of the challenge and lost seven pounds in the first fortnight.

He aims to shed at least 30lbs.

As part of the Manorlands Largest Loser challenge, he has free use of facilities at TruGym in Keighley.

"I am doing more exercise and watching what I eat," said Mr Seymour.

"I love my chocolate and cheeses, so I'm having to moderate my diet."

He has set himself a fundraising target of £100, but hopes to exceed that.
