KEIGHLEY people have been warned of an antifreeze poisoning incident in Ingrow which affected two cats – one of which died.

A spokesman for the RSPCA said they were notified of the incident in Cromer Avenue last Tuesday. (February 24)

She said one of the cats survived after being treated by a vet, who confirmed the substance involved was antifreeze. However, she added that she could not confirm whether the poisoning was accidental or deliberate.

"We'd like to warn people, but we're also appealing for further information," she said. "As far as we know it's not part of a pattern, but we'd like people in the area to be aware."
