A MAN was found dead close to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway yesterday afternoon. (March 15)

Police say the man, who they believe to have been in his 40s, was confirmed dead shortly after 1pm. There are no suspicious circumstances, and the man's name has not yet been released.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said officers were initially alerted by paramedics at 12.40pm.

They were called to the scene of the man's death near Park Way, a cul-de-sac which leads off Park Drive Road. A snicket was cordoned off while the incident was investigated.

Details of the death have been passed to the coroner's office.
