KEIGHLEY Town Council has been given advice about cash handling procedures after a probe into suspected theft from its civic centre building was closed.
The council alerted the police in January over possible missing civic centre takings. Two men, aged 24 and 37, were questioned by police officers.
Inspector Sue Sanderson, who leads the Keighley Area Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Officers carried out detailed enquiries into this matter and spoke to two suspects, who both denied involvement.
"The investigation is now closed pending further information coming to light and the complainant has been informed.
"Advice has also been given with regards to cash handling procedures."
A separate investigation into the town council by West Yorkshire Police's Economic Crime Unit is continuing.
