DETECTIVES were today appealing for help as they stepped up their hunt for two rapists.

The first attack took place moments after a young woman left a city centre nightclub.

As reported in later editions of yesterday's Evening Times, detectives believe the victim was approached by a man outside Buffalo Joes at around 2am on Sunday.

She walked into Waterloo Street with him but when they turned into Wellington Lane she was attacked and raped.

Her attacker was spotted walking towards Hope Street after leaving the lane around 2.30am.

Today officers appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

The man is described as being in his early to mid-20s, medium to stocky build with light brown, short hair.

He was wearing jeans, with a thin V-neck sweater, with the sleeves rolled up over a white crew neck T-shirt. The suspect was also wearing a neck chain and a watch on his left wrist.

The victim has long dyed blonde hair, and was wearing a long black coat, denims and black ankle boots.

The second attack happened just hours later on a teenager in Paisley as she lay unconscious after collapsing to the ground.

The 15-year-old was raped as she made her way home on Sunday night.

The teenage hairdressing student was attacked around 10pm in woodland in the Ferguslie Park area.

She had been with a pal in a nearby swing park before making her way home.

A passer-by came across the girl and stopped to help her.

Police in Paisley are continuing their hunt for the attacker.

The teenager was treated in Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital where she was detained overnight for observation.
