SILSDEN author has published a new collection of "unusual" stories which focus on horror, fantasy and the supernatural.

The Weird, Wonderful, Unique And Unusual Lives Of Everyday People is David Driver's ninth book.

His latest work, which features eight short stories, is currently available via Amazon to download onto Kindle devices.

Mr Driver combines his fiction writing with working as a college lecturer, where he teaches students about plumbing and heating systems.

Commenting on his most recent publication, he said: "Out of everything I've done so far I think this has probably received the best feedback. I've had a lot of positive comments from people who've read it.

"The stories are a bit unusual and the endings aren't what people would expect."

He estimated that about half of his work so far has been aimed at children, and half at older readers.

"I've sold a few books across the pond in America," he added. "I might have some of my books available in hard copy form this summer, though that's not definite yet.

"Writing a book doesn't always go as you plan it. For example, I might start writing a story for children, but as it progresses it becomes darker and turns into something more suitable for older readers."

Amazon states that Mr Zachaponti And His Extra Fizzy, Multi-Flavoured Lemonade was Mr Driver's first offering for younger readers.

Ripskillian was a collection of three short stories in the dark fantasy, horror genre, while short stand-alone story The Purple Orchid of Ulysses Goyle was also horror.

Mr Driver's full-length novel was entitled The Rusty Old Tricycle of Abacus Shin.
