A GRANDMA who has lost over two stones since joining a slimming group says she now has a new lease of life.

Self-confessed chocoholic Lucy Tetley is a member of Slimming World's Long Lee group, run by her daughter.

"I feel amazing and I've got so much more confidence – and I still regularly enjoy chocolate too!" she said.

"As well as changing my eating habits I'm much more active and have recently fostered a dog from Aireworth Dogs In Need – Dax is with me on long-term foster as his original owners were unable to take him to their new supported living accommodation.

"I suffer from COPD and asthma but losing weight has helped alleviate the symptoms and having Dax means I am also able to get out and about much more.

"The support I receive from my daughter and everyone at the group is unbelievable.

"We share tips and ideas and support each other to overcome challenges and stick to the healthy changes we've committed to."

Daughter, Carla Weatherill, said: "I'm so proud of Lucy, not only as her daughter but as her consultant. The change in her is amazing.

"She inspired me to join Slimming World back in 2008 and not only did I lose over four stones, I got a new career!"
