A COWLING community venture has donated a further £1,000 to charitable causes.
New 2U has presented cheques to Keighley Salvation Army, Cowling Hill Baptist Chapel, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service and St Andrew's Methodist Church in Cowling.
The initiative – launched two years ago – raises money by selling good-quality donated items including clothes, bric-a-brac and books.
Since its inception, £5,600 has been given to good causes.
New 2U – based at St Andrew's Church, in Walton Street – is open from 2pm to 4pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 10am to noon on Saturdays.
