KEIGHLEY social housing group Incommunities has launched its annual search for top tenants.

The organisation’s star awards showcase the positive difference being made by its customers and groups.

Adrienne Reid, Incommunities’ assistant chief executive for neighbourhood services, said: “The awards are all about celebrating our caring and talented tenants who work so hard to improve other people’s lives and their neighbourhoods.

“We are really keen to see lots of great entries from our younger customers, with two award categories aiming to celebrate the contribution they make to brightening up life in their communities.

“Spring is a great time to celebrate our star tenants, so we urge people to send in their entries now.”

Awards are presented in several categories, including individual garden/display, communal garden, kids’ corner and makeover.

There are also accolades for a rising star – recognising a tenant aged under 21 who has overcome a personal barrier or gone the extra mile to help someone – a community star, who has helped make their neighbourhood a better place, and a star Incommunities team or employee.

Winners will be announced at a presentation ceremony in September, where guests will include award-winning floral designer Jonathan Moseley and BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration.

Nominations can be made by visiting incommunities.co.uk, e-mailing starawards@incommunities.co.uk or by collecting an entry form from Incommunities offices.
