HAWORTH performers will take audiences back to Edwardian times during this year’s 1940s weekend.

Haworth West Lane Baptist Amateurs are departing from their usual 40s theme to present Mrs Hyacinth Pluckett’s Edwardian Soirée.

A spokesman said: “Mrs Hyacinth Pluckett is renowned for her candlelit soireés, to which she invites her sophisticated friends, the leading lights of the local amateur operatic society.

“You are cordially invited to join this select company. There will be solos, choruses, songs for you to join in, recitations, and lots of fun.”

The show will be performed on May 13, 15 and 16 in the West Lane Baptist Chapel. Call 01535 643425 to book tickets.
