A SEASONAL summer bus service for the Worth Valley is set to return this weekend.

Service 812 resumes on Sunday May 24 and bank holiday Monday May 25. It will then run every Sunday and bank holiday until August 31.

The bus connects Haworth Railway Station and the Bronte Parsonage Museum to Stanbury, Ponden Reservoir and Scar Top Pine at Moor Lodge.

Ordinary Metro fares are charged and all Metro passes and concessions are valid. A timetable and route map is available from Keighley Bus Station.

Bus service 812 is sponsored and funded by the Worth Valley Joint Transport Committee (JTC) – which includes representatives from Oxenhope, Haworth and Keighley councils – with financial assistance from Metro. The bus and driver are provided by Transdev in Keighley.

A Worth Valley JTC spokesman said: "This is the only bus service which reaches right into the Bronte Parsonage car park, giving easy access to the literary shrine.

"Certainly both Oxenhope Parish Council and Haworth Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council see it as a valuable part of the local public transport network."
