MANORLANDS has shared in the proceeds of an annual charity fundraising night.

The event, attended by 130 people, was the fifth held by Bob and Lesley Tole at their Riddlesden home.

The £3,000 proceeds were split between the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice and Airedale Hospital's breast care unit.

Cash was raised through donations, a raffle and auction.

Band Blue Suede Dudes performed for free.

Mrs Tole said: "This was the highest amount we have ever raised and we're delighted to be able to help two great local causes.

"We particularly wish to acknowledge generous donations from Folding Sliding Doors Ltd and Christine Bower together with local businesses Bridgehouse Brewery, Brook Tavener, Varda, Khans takeaway and Cavendish Mobiles."

Andrew Wood, Sue Ryder fundraiser for Keighley, paid tribute.

He thanked Mr and Mrs Tole, Jenny Kitson and Angela Wood – who helped organise the event – and the Blue Suede Dudes.

"For Sue Ryder this donation will pay for 15 full days of care from a hospice nurse which will mean so much to our patients," he added.
