KEIGHLEY Labour Party celebrated burgeoning membership with an event at its constituency office.
The party has seen a one-third increase in members, to nearly 600, since the General Election.
Chairman Judith Waterman said: "It has been a tough few months for the party nationally but locally we have never been more alive!
"We have seen a big increase in membership in each part of the constituency.
"We're filled to the rafters with new and raring-to-go members and if we keep growing, we are going to have to buy more chairs!"
New student member Sam Chipman addressed the event about his fears for the future for young people and stalwart Barry Thorne, leader of the Labour group on Keighley Town Council, spoke of his passion for social justice and fairness.
