AN IMPRESSIVE array of bands livened up the grounds of Cliffe Castle as part of a successful event to replace a cancelled annual music festival.
Hundreds of people took advantage of the good weather yesterday afternoon (August 2) to support the town's first ever Aire-don't event.
Stockbridge mum Kaya Capper took the lead in organising the occasion, after she was disappointed by the cancellation of the 2015 Keighley Town Council-run Aire-do.
She said she was delighted with how well the Aire-don't had gone, and offered her thanks to everyone who backed the replacement festival.
"It was absolutely fantastic," she said. "We had a brilliant turnout and there were loads of people.
"The weather was great. Just a little inkling of a shower at one point but that cleared up as quickly as it started."
Miss Capper, a mother of six from Stockbridge, said that at one point last month she feared the Aire-don't would not go ahead, due to problems obtaining sponsors.
However, following her appeal several businesses and individuals donors came to the rescue, including £500 from Marshalls Amusements and £500 from Arrows Galaxy Taxis and Legend Claims Management Services.
Responding after the festival, a spokesman for one of the headline acts - We are Atlas - said: "The Aire Do was truly saved. A brilliant day. Thanks everyone."
