Many people across the UK are taking part in Memory Walks in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society during September.

Their aim is to raise money to help research that could mean an end to dementia, while celebrating the lives of loved ones who are affected by the disease.

The Alzheimer’s Society is also spearheading the Dementia Friends initiative, which trains people to know more about what it is like to live with dementia, then turn their understanding into action.

This can range from telling friends and relatives about Dementia Friends, to visiting someone who is living with dementia.
