STAFF from Keighley's Sainsbury's supermarket were among employees from the company's stores across Yorkshire who took part in an event called Big Ride 3.
The ride was started three years ago, to raise money for each store’s Local Charity of the Year. The 2015 good cause selected for Keighley's Sainsbury's is Manorlands.
The three-day cycle took place across the north of England and Scotland.
A total of 461 riders participated in a number of different cycle routes.
West Yorkshire's involvement featured routes from Ripon to Halifax, and a tour of 21 stores in and around Leeds, Barnsley and Huddersfield. The Keighley Sainsbury's store again provided hot and cold food for the riders on day one.
Keighley store manager Jason Le Roche rode on the first day, raising £300 for Manorlands.
On the same day, Derek Steele played the accordion in the store’s foyer. His efforts raised a further £210 for the hospice.
Sainsbury's regional operation manager Alan Ormrod said: “It’s brilliant that each individual store’s local charity of the year will benefit from the bike ride. I know it will make a big difference to all of them.”
