PARKSIDE School students have been praised by deputy head Bernard Tague for their behaviour and enthusiasm.
Mr Tague said students arrived back at the Cullingworth school after the summer holidays looking very smart and with a “really positive attitude”.
He said the last school year had been very successful in several areas.
He added: “Negative incidents dropped by almost 50 per cent and fixed-term exclusions by almost 60 per cent and we hope to build on this.
“The new rewards policy has also got off to a flying start with both staff and students commenting on how easy and quick it is to reward students with a good attitude to learning.”
Mr Tague, writing in the Parkside School magazine, thanked students, parents and carers for their continued support.
